Book review: ‘Nobody Wants to Read Your Shit’ by Steven Pressfield

Don't bother.

Nobody Wants to Read Your Shit

Reading a book entitled and sub-entitled Nobody Wants to Read Your Shit: why that is and what you can do about it, a writer might reasonably expect to pick up one or two tips about how to get people to actually read their shit. But this book offers next to no such advice on that front. Steven Pressfield's solution to getting people to read your shit is to suggest you make it less shit, and to treat it like a product you're trying to sell. Thanks for that.

One unexpressed tip I did pick up by reading this very short book is to make sure you have a killer title and subtitle. Get those right, and loads more people, like me, will end up reading your shit.
